Open Hacking

Open Hacking is Live!

News

Welcome to Open Hacking, the web’s newest open source blog. Glad you could stop in for a few. Please allow me a minute to introduce myself and give you a little bit of foresight on Open Hacking!

First off, my name is Ryan, and I’ve been online for a solid five or so years now. I am currently the owner of about a half a dozen websites, with Open Hacking being the latest.

Open Hacking is here to bring some new light into the world of white-hat hacking. Since day one, I have loved open source software for a number of reasons, but mainly because it’s free, and you can hack the living hell out of it! Sweet! Most people in the world today associate hacking with some guy trying steal their credit card information from Nigeria, or maybe someone planting a virus in their computer; well, that’s not why Open Hacking is here. We’re here to advocate a different kind of hacking. Legal hacking. Lets first take a look at the actual definition of “hacking”:

  1. To alter (a computer program): hacked her text editor to read HTML.
  2. To write or refine computer programs skillfully.

That’s exactly what you’ll learn ho to do here at Open Hacking. You’ll learn new tips & tricks to make your open-source software work that much better. We’ll be looking at third party tweaks, add-ons, and more, as well as our own tutorials, anything from installation instructions, to ripping apart whole programs and re-coding them to be way more powerful.

I thank you more than you know for taking your time to visit us here, and promise that your time will be well spent. Please bear with us as we finish up some final details, and start rolling out some posts, tweaks, hacks, add-ons, and a ton more!

Enjoy!

Ryan
